**The role | Mo tenei turanga mahi**
You will be reporting to the Team Coach and working in a team of youth workers. Young people will stay in our home-like retreat for short periods while they are supported by trained youth mental health and addiction workers.
**This is a fixed- term position ending 1st January 2027.
- Friday, 7am
- 3:30pm. Based in New Plymouth.**
We're looking for a savvy and energised youth worker to join our growing service.
**You will have:**- A National Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Support Work (Level 4) or National Certificate in Youth Work.
- An understanding of trauma-informed care and working with young people.
- Full NZ driver's licence.
- An understanding of Information Technology - Microsoft Office preferred.
- A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
- Previous experience in youth work, social work, mental health, and addiction preferred.
