Fencer/Tractor Driver

We are on the look out for a motivated fencer/tractor driver to join our business and help with the increasing workload.

At the moment the position is mostly work constructing and repairing farm fences but in the spring/summer months tractor driving work would be required to help with the hay and silage baling side of the business. This includes mowing, tedding, raking, conventional and round baling, bale wrapping and hay cartage.

Minimum of paid 25 hours per week but in peak times can be 70-80 hours

Work is usually within an hour of Taupo, so accommodation to suit this would be desirable.

Ideally the applicant enjoys physical work. Fencing and hay carting can be tough on the body but rewarding, at the end of the day, you can see what you have have accomplished.

You would be working with the owner and one other full time staff member.

Job Requirements:

• A good level of fitness is a must as fencing is physically demanding.
• Some tractor, building and chainsaw knowledge would be an advantage but training will be given.
• Strong work ethic
• Be able to work alone and in a team.
• Be punctual, respectful & honest.
• Able to communicate with clients
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Have a current NZ drivers license.

Remuneration based on experience.

This is a fixed term position through until the end of February however there may be the ability for this role to develop into a full time position for the right person.
