This is full time permanent position
Duty Manager
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily bar operations and ensure excellent customer service
  • Ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act
  • Lead and supervise staff during shifts
  • Handle cash, EFTPOS transactions, and daily reconciliations
  • Monitor responsible service of alcohol practices
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
  • Assist with stock control and ordering
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
  • Follow company policies and health and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Current LCQ (Licence Controller Qualification) – Essential or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Retail, Customer Service, Hospitality, Management, Accounting, Business, or related service industries; OR
  • A Level 4 or higher qualification in Management, Business, Retail, Commerce (BCom), Economics, Arts, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard
  • Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist with menu preparation and kitchen operations
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Follow company policies, food safety standards, and health and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in cooking, food preparation, hospitality, catering, restaurants, cafés, or related food service industries; OR
  • A Level 4 or higher qualification in Cookery, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Catering, Food Preparation, or a related field
  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work flexible hours
  • Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
