About the Role
You will be a key part of the team involved in the preparation and cooking of meals for approximately 90 people in residential care and independent living units. Iona also has a contract to provide meals for Oamaru Public Hospital and local Meals on Wheels.Working in a small, supportive kitchen team providing a high standard of meals to residents in care homes and the community.
- Cook: In this role, you will provide efficient and effective food service, presenting meals in an appealing and appetizing manner in accordance with the Enliven philosophy.
- Kitchen Assistant: In this role, you will be assisting with the preparation and cooking of meals for residents, general kitchen duties and washing dishes. You will provide an efficient and effective food service, presenting meals in an appealing and appetizing manner, in accordance with the Enliven Philosophy.
Hours: We are looking for someone who can work on a when and if required basis
About You- Motivated to learn
- Work well in a team and independently
- Reliable, efficient and hardworking
- Have the ability to follow a recipe
- Have kitchen experience and unit standards 167 and 168 (preferable)
- Experience with bulk cooking would be an advantage.
