Class 4 Hook Driver

**Job Description**We are looking for a multi skilled Class 4 Driver to join our team based in Blenheim.
**_The role_**
Are you wondering what your workday will look like with us? As a Driver you will be responsible for operating a vehicle and equipment on board to ensure a safe and timely collection of service. You’ll also be required to keep accurate records and complete paperwork as well as undertaking vehicle safety checks.
**Qualifications** **Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following:**- A sharp eye for detail to ensure glass sorting is performed accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency in operating dual-steer vehicles (both left-hand and right-hand drive)
- Experience operating rear loader refuse compactor trucks
- Familiarity with driving and operating a LEV (Low Entry Vehicle), including the physical ability to remain on their feet for up to 13 hours a day
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) when reasonably requested
- A valid and clean Class 4 driver’s licence
- The ability to educate the public on proper waste and recycling practices
- A strong commitment to health and safety standards
- Adherence to all road regulations and logbook requirements
- Safe and efficient driving practices
- Strong skills in route planning and navigation
- Flexibility to operate a variety of vehicle classes
