As a Social Worker, you will provide comprehensive social work assessments, interventions and support for clients and their whanau at Te Puawai Ora Community Maternity service and our Child Health Service .Provide safe and clinically effective psychosocial assessments and interventionDeliver safe, effective, and innovative care that is person- and whānau-centred, with a focus on meaningful outcomesClick here to view the position description.About the Service/LocationThe Social Work Department Social Workers provide support and intervention across numerous physical health services including medical and surgical wards, Oncology, Maternity, Neonatal, Paediatrics, Child Health, Health of Older People and Community.This is a 1.0FTE social work role covering both the Community Maternity and Child Health Services.
Three days a week (0.6FTE) is dedicated to the Community Maternity service and includes Friday cover for our ward based Maternity and Neonatal services. Two days a week (0.4FTE) is dedicated to our community facing Child Health service.For more information on living and working in Northland, click hereAbout youAs a Social Worker, you will maintain composure and focus under pressure, especially in fast-paced or emotionally demanding situations with an ability to working effectively with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary setting.Social Work qualification recognised by the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board NZSWRBNew Zealand Registration and current annual practising certificate with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration BoardIdeally looking for someone who has at least 3 years social work experienceCurrent New Zealand full drivers licenceComputer literacy: Word, Outlook and relevant clinical programsDemonstrated experience in social work processes, theories and conceptsExcellent written and verbal communication and proven conflict resolution skillsWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
