This includes:Managing a caseload, completing assessments, risk management, and recovery-focused treatment planningProviding triage, crisis intervention, and brief interventionsUndertaking duties under the Mental Health Act as a Duly Authorised Officer (training provided if not current)Collaborating with service users, whānau, and interprofessional teams to support recovery and wellbeingContributing to the achievement of equitable health outcomes for Māori and rural populationsYou will also be responsible for:Ensuring professional, legal, and ethical standards are metMaintaining accurate clinical documentation and data securityDemonstrating accountability and leadership in clinical decision-makingSupporting culturally safe and inclusive care for tangata whenua and all service usersAbout youEssential:New Zealand Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional (e.g., Social Worker, Occupational Therapist)Current Annual Practising CertificateA relevant postgraduate qualificationMinimum of three years
  • experience in mental healthStrong understanding of cultural safety and the principles of Te Tiriti o WaitangiFull New Zealand driver
  • s licence (manual transmission preferred)Competence using electronic health systems and clinical documentation platformsDesirable:Current DAO warrant (or willingness to complete training)CEP (Co-Existing Problems) capabilityExperience with talking therapies or brief interventionsFamiliarity with West Coast community resourcesIf a Registered Nurse, a current portfolio as part of the Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP)Working at HealthNew ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Orais dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
