Aotearoa Labour Hire (ALH) is looking for skilled Class 2 and 4 Drivers to join one of New Zealand's leading national freight companies. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right person — ideal for a reliable driver wanting long-term stability and a solid career path in the transport industry.
You'll be part of a professional, safety-focused team responsible for the collection and delivery of freight throughout the Wellington region.
What you'll be doing:
- Operating Class 2 and 4 trucks for daily freight runs across Wellington and surrounding areas (also looking for class 5 drivers for different shifts)
- Handling general freight - ensuring loads are secure and paperwork is accurate
- Assisting with loading/unloading where required
- Performing vehicle checks and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Working closely with dispatch and warehouse teams to meet delivery schedules
What we're looking for:
- Full Class 2 or 4 License
- Dangerous Goods ticket (advantageous)
- Experience in freight, logistics or transport roles
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safe work practices
- Physically fit and comfortable with some manual handling
- Able to pass a drug test and criminal record check
- Good communication and teamwork skills
