Auto electrical department - Team Leader

MC Transport Repairs Ltd, trading as NZ Trucks, operates a busy, well equipped heavy diesel servicing and repair centre on Brydone Road in Hornby South, Christchurch. As the authorised Iveco service agent for the Christchurch region, we support a wide range of customers who rely on us to keep their fleets moving.

We’re looking for an experienced Auto Electrician to step into a key leadership role within our workshop. If you enjoy variety, take pride in high quality workmanship, and want to lead a small, capable team, this is an opportunity to make your mark.

About the Role

• Lead, organise, and support a small team of auto electricians to deliver excellent customer service and strong productivity
• Carry out predelivery electrical fit outs on new Iveco trucks and vans
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across heavy and light diesel vehicles and transport trailers
• Respond to roadside breakdowns and customer site work

About You

• A qualified auto electrician with experience in heavy diesel (preferred), or
• A skilled auto electrician ready to step up into a leadership role
• Customer focused, organised, and confident guiding others
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
