Finishing Carpenter/Joiner

About You
The position could be for you if:
You are an experienced FINISHING CARPENTER or Joiner with a minimum 4 years experience, who is ready for the next challenge! You are good at the general tasks as well as having the finishing touches! It is a full time position offering between $30-$37/hr depending on experience.
You take pride in furthering your skills.
You have high end residential or cabinet making joinery experience.
You have a drive to grow within our business and thrive on feedback.
You have the knowledge about the tools and machinery that is needed to carry out your job.
You are punctual and take pride in yourself.
You are a non-smoker/vaper.
You really enjoy working in a dynamic team, having a laugh and a joke in our vibrant culture.
This role is a long term, full-time position that reports directly to the contracts manager and you will be working closely with other key members of the team.

To provide building, carpentry and labouring services as required and directed by the Employer including but not limited to:
- Handle carpentry materials
- Use carpentry tools and equipment
- Carry out general demolition of minor building structures
- Carry out setting out
- Carry out levelling operations
- Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry
- Plan and organise work
- Conduct workplace communication
- Carry out measurements and calculations
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding
- Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry & work safely at heights
- Construct / Install flooring systems
- Construct wall frames and similar
- Construct ceiling frames and dia frames
- Installing the final, visible woodwork in buildings, focusing on precision and aesthetics
- Installing trim, molding, cabinets, doors and staircases
- Repairing and maintaining existing fixtures, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship for a polished look
Main Purpose: To provide the trade skills, knowledge, experience and competency to undertake finishing carpentry/joinery work to comply with the specified requirements of the contract works in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities and General- Be an active member of the site team.
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures at all times.
- Carry out all tasks/operations in a tradesman like manner at all times as directed by the Foreman and/or supervisor.
- Maintain and respect personal, Company, and Client equipment, property and plant.
