Teacher Aide - Christchurch

• Interest in working with children with special education needs
• A positive attitude, show initiative, and be resilient
• Be able to work collaboratively as a member of the team
• Be able to use positive behaviour strategies to support student regulation
• Support with co-managing of challenging situations and behaviours
• Show punctuality, confidentiality and professionalism
• Willing to learn new skills i.e.. technology/digi tech

• 5.5 hours per day
• Up to 27.5 hours per week, starting at the end of January 2026 (term time only).
• Positions range from 1-5 days per week

Relieving positions - casual/on call, are available following the employment process and pending police check.

These positions may be at our Merivale site or across our various satellites.

All employment at Ferndale Te Ahu is subject to police vetting.
