KMC is a large and progressive primary care provider that has cared for the Western Wellington community for almost 50 years.Nurses at KMC are at the forefront of care delivery, running nurse-led and specialty clinics and are encouraged and provided opportunities to work to top of scope.
A graduate RN will receive a supported orientation and guidance to learn and consolidate the required skills to deliver primary nursing care.As part of a first year of practice, a graduate RN will be supported to undertake the Netp programme coordinated by Health New Zealand- Capital Coast.
Karori Medical Centre remunerates nurses in line with the Health New Zealand / NZNO MECA, meaning you earn the same as hospital employed nurses.Ideally a graduate RN will work 0.8 FTE, rostered hours vary between 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday mornings rostered later in the new graduate year.We are an inclusive medical centre that embraces diversity.
