Cook/Fast Food Cook - Queenstown

• A qualification in cookery is desirable.
• Experience in Mediterranean and/or Caucasus cuisine is desirable.
• To be physically fit and eligible to work on weekends and some night shifts too.

• Prepare and cook traditional Turkish sauces, kebabs, falafels, etc.;
• Season food by using Turkish cooking techniques;
• Portion food, placing on plates and adding gravies and sauces;
• Ensure the quality of food is always delivered at the highest standard and presented to customers in a timely manner;
• Prepare dietary food to meet the customer's special needs;
• Manage frozen and fresh food;
• Keep the kitchen tidy and clean to meet health and hygiene regulations;
• Must be able to cook and manage the kitchen independently;
• Having the ability to design/update the menu is desirable;
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and keep calm under pressure during busy seasons;
• Be dedicated to food quality and control.

We offer a minimum of 35 hours of work a week, but during busy seasons, there might be more hours. Friendly environment and great team to work together, excellent orientation and support will be provided to all new staff, hourly rate ($23.50 - 28/hour) depending on experience and qualification.
