We are Taupo based Fish n chips takeaway very busy during summer time. We are looking for a dedicated and committed Chef/Cook to join our exciting team. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be required to work as per the roster and need to be available to work weekends and evenings.
Your tasks include:
- Prepare and cook food.
- Operating cooking equipment such as grills, ovens, salamander and deep fryer.
- Dedicated to maintain the highest standard of food quality, safety and cleanliness.
- Highly organised, with a strong sense for cost control.
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and identify any issues that arise.
- Freeze and preserve food appropriately.
- Check and manage stock level efficiency.
- Monitor and adjust temperature of oven grills and other cooking equipment.
- Inspect food items to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Plan menus and estimated food requirement as needed.
- Ensure hygiene and safety standard are maintained thought the kitchen and surrounding areas.
- Must have at least 2 year of relevant industry experience or a relevant qualification.
- Reliable and able to work independently
