Part Time Bar Staff
We're looking for someone to join our Puffin team part time! This role will officially start in early January with a few training days in December this year.
Ideally you'll have previous hospitality experience, especially bar focused and an eagerness to keep learning and perfecting your craft.
Puffin is a bar that focuses on natural, organic and biodynamic wines from small producers in New Zealand and all over the world. We've been open 6 years and in that time have become an integral part of the Wellington and Ghuznee Street neighbourhood that we love so much.Our focus is making wine approachable and enjoyable for everyone, we want you to feel comfortable and able to explore different varieties and producers - it's a big world of wine out there! We also have a small house cocktail list and the ability to make drinks outside of this list and get creative.
Our kitchen makes delicious salty snacks, perfect with a glass of wine or just because.
We also have our in house wine shop that opened in September 2024 - this allows people to grab a bottle to takeaway of the things they've enjoyed in the bar. From time to time we host winemakers here as well so people can hear about the wine from the people that make it and try it at the same time.
The role is part time, Friday & Saturday late nights and about 18 hours total. There is the opportunity to learn and grow within our supportive team and become and integral part of what makes Puffin such a great place to be!
