Retail Store Manager

Pay Rate: $25-$35/ hour (negotiable)

Key Requirements:
>Proven experience in customer service in retail (Liquor or FMCG preferred)
>Strong leadership and communication skills
>Relevant qualification (at least level 2) or one year of relevant work experience
>Basic computer literacy is required
>Strong spoken and written English skills
>Attention for detail and a multitasker.
>Should be resilient to work pressure
>Efficient, effective and self motivated
>Able to work independently and manage the store confidently when alone.
>LCQ and manager certificate preferred.
>Ability to do work on roster/ Weekend/Public Holiday work and some split shifts.
>Honest, reliable, open minded and flexible, with the ability to embrace new ways of working as trained, setting aside prior habits if needed.
>Heavy lifting is a crucial part of the job, hence a high level of physical fitness is required.
>Supervise and actively participate in all cleaning responsibilities, around the store including restrooms, kitchen, chiller, storeroom and parking area.
>Minimum age requirement is 20 years old.
Key responsibilities
>Oversee daily store operations ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
>Ensuring continued compliance with all licensing laws and store policies at all times.
>Purchase stock based on sale, per stock level and market popularity.
>Ensure the shelves are fully stocked up, products are accurately priced and the store is clean at all times
>Periodically organize and participate in stock takes
>Ordering and inventory control as per store systems and procedures within the budget given
>Organize, activate and execute special promotions advertised by Franchise and instore promotions, build displays and remain competitive in pricing by adjusting profit margin in accordance with stock levels
>Ensure efficient, friendly and professional service is provided to all customers and deal with customer issues
>Ensure staff training is up to date, and they are well equipped with laws, products and store policies
>Ensure that ordered products are checked ,received, receipted and accurately invoiced into the POS system on a daily basis
>Handle rostering and staff performance
>Monitor sales targets and implement strategies to achieve KPIs
>building and maintaining a positive professional and cooperative relationship with suppliers
>Promoting and advertising the store’s goods and services, within the laws
>Maintaining records of financial transactions, daily cash reconciliation, petty cash and banking
>Answering phones promptly and fulfilling online orders within timelines
>Lead, train and motivate team members to deliver best customer experience and increase profitability of business
