About the RoleAs an Advisor- Governance and Business Support, you provide coordinated advisory, secretariat, and administrative support to the National Public Health Service Business Services function, enabling effective governance, informed decision‑making, and efficient operational delivery.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe NPHS within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.
We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.About youYou will have experience supporting teams with writing and preparing advice for senior decision-makers.You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work across a range of teams to deliver on work under tight timeframes.Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experienceStrong coordination, organisation and admin skillsStrong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and stylesAbility to write high quality papers, written and email correspondencesExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships and relate to a wide range of peopleThe ability to think on your feet, make sound judgements and escalate issues when requiredA willingness to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a teamWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
