Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU)Waitākere Surgical UnitPermanet role )1 FTE_Waitemata District is the largest in New Zealand serving a population of more than 680,000 living in Rodney, and North and West Auckland.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe currently have a role available for an experienced PACU nurse to join our team at Waitakere Hospital.About the Team/Service/ LocationOur Surgical Unit based at Waitākere hospital provides elective surgery, acute obstetrics and elective endoscopy services.

The PACU unit is currently open Monday - Friday 07:30 -21:00. Fully rostered shifts will be required to cover nights for patients requiring 24 hour stay.About youTo be considered we need to following:New Zealand Registered Nurse, with a current Annual Practising CertificateA minimum of 2 years PACU experiencePaediatric experience will be n added advantageAt least 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital settingProviding service excellence to our patients is essential.
