Logistics and Production Planner
Blank Canvas is a premium wine business operating at the forefront of New Zealand’s fine wine scene. Exporting to over 25 markets, our wine business is in a new exciting chapter of evolution and development. We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-orientated Export Logistics and Production Planner to join our small but highly experienced team.
This is a dynamic, high-impact part-time role where you’ll help facilitate the distribution of premium wines across New Zealand and the world, work with global partners and domestic clients, and grow professionally as Blank Canvas grows.

This part-time position carries responsibility across the crucial logistics, export and production planning aspects of our business.
Core responsibilities:
- Export and Logistics Operations: Strategically manage and lead all export shipments, working with GM to ensure efficient and accurate end-to-end coordination.
Manage freight, customs clearance and other required export documentation including export invoicing and export eligibility requirements.
Monitor delivery timelines and track shipments
Coordinate and track domestic freight for wholesale distribution as well as assistance with domestic and international sample coordination.- Manage freight, customs clearance and other required export documentation including export invoicing and export eligibility requirements.

- Customer service: Liaise with importers, distributors and wholesale customers to ensure timely, accurate order fulfilment and issue resolution.
- Production planning: Work alongside the internal team and external stakeholders to produce and execute production schedules and lead the coordination of production planning at our third-party bottling/warehouser. This involves a high degree of organisation and detail-oriented work to complete work orders, ordering and maintaining dry-goods and ensuring bottling and labelling processes are performed accurately and efficiently.
- Data and reporting: Maintain accurate stock records, production and export file management, operational spreadsheets. Use data to identify efficiencies and cost-savings. Monthly reporting to management.
What You’ll Bring:
- Essential experience and problem-solving skills: Demonstrated experience in wine export logistics and production planning, and a proven track record of operational problem solving.
- Team dynamics: Must be a strong team player who can also work independently, take initiative and be self-motivated. Ability and enthusiasm to muck in and help out with other tasks from time to time.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional and respectful.
- Technical proficiency: High competency in Microsoft Excel and Word; confident with formulas, data entry and numerical tasks.
- Attributes: Logical thinker, proactive, highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and genuine engagement with the businesses and brand.
- Learning mindset: Ability to learn quickly and adapt across varied operational tasks.
- Wine interest: An interest in wine is essential; a genuine love of wine is preferred.
- Work rights: Relevant legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Part-time clarity: This is a part-time role of approximately 15 hours per week, with scope to expand hours and responsibilities. The role is based at our offices in Central Blenheim during office hours, with some flexibility around weekly scheduling.
