We’re looking for a hardworking, caring Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our warm and welcoming Summerset in the Vines village team. This role is all about making sure our residents feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home.
As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant, you'll be a key part of creating a clean, uplifting, and homelike environment for residents, their whanau, and fellow team members.
Your day-to-day activities will include:- Ensuring high-quality cleaning across resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry, and kitchen facilities
- Laundering, folding and returning residents’ clothing and linens with care and attention
- Labelling, mending and maintaining residents' personal laundry items
- Supporting infection control measures and health and safety procedures
- Building friendly, respectful relationships with residents and understanding their unique needs
Shift 1: 25hours a week, from Monday - Friday, 3pm - 7pm
Shift 2: 6 hours a week, on Saturday & Sunday, 3-7pm.
You’ll be a great fit if you:- You have experience in housekeeping ideally in healthcare or hospitality
- Take pride in your work and care about the small details
- Are physically fit and comfortable working on your feet
- Have a genuine interest in aged care (no experience necessary — full training provided)
