Christchurch - Barista/ Front of house
Bonbon Café & Chocolate Shop is seeking an experienced and motivated barista/front-of-house to join our small team.
This is a sole-operated position. You’ll be independently running the café during your shifts, so we’re after someone confident, dynamic, and well-organised, who has high quality coffee skills and great customer service and FOH skillset.
Weekend availability is essential, with current shifts being Saturday and Sunday (9:45am–5:15pm), plus potential extra shifts during school holidays/ weekdays
Key responsibilities:- Preparing high-quality espresso coffee/ hot chocolate (barista role is central)
- Providing warm, professional customer service
- Handling POS, restocking, and general café upkeep
- Opening and closing duties
- Multi-tasking and managing flow during busy periods
To be considered, you’ll need:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a main barista in a busy café
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure
- A self-motivated attitude and commitment to quality
- Reliability, initiative, and a great team spirit

Pay & Benefits:- $27/hour to start
- Minimum 15 hours/week currently available
