This is a permanent part-time position working 30 hours per week.
About the Role:We're looking for a passionate Centre Cook to join our team and make a real difference through the power of food. You'll prepare fresh, nutritious, and healthy meals that support our tamariki's growth, development, and overall wellbeing.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Planning and preparing nutritious, balanced menus tailored to children's needs
- Catering to dietary requirements and allergies
- Managing stock, ordering supplies, and staying within budget
- Maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Promoting healthy eating habits across our centre
What We're Looking For:
- A love for healthy cooking and baking
- Knowledge of children's nutritional needs, food safety, and allergy management
- Basic computer skills for menu planning and ordering
- A friendly, team-player attitude and comfort working in a child-focused environment
