We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Farmhands to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

The main duties will include general maintenance and support:

• Performs general and routine tasks on the orchard, supporting overall crop production and maintenance, may include vine management and canopy management.
• Assists in cultivating and fertilising soil to prepare orchard blocks for planting.
• Supports irrigation efforts by laying out hoses, checking for blockages or leaks, and manually watering designated areas.
• Assist with spraying chemicals (under direction and with appropriate safety precautions) to help manage pests and plant diseases.
• Transports tools, materials, and fertilisers to and from various blocks and work areas within the orchard.
• Supports weed and pest control measures through manual clearing, mulching, and applying non-chemical deterrents as directed. Assisting with laying and removing weed matts.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in work areas, including sheds, equipment rooms, and loading zones.
• Operates basic farm equipment such as wheelbarrows, handheld tools, and occasionally light machinery under guidance.
• Assists in erecting and maintaining orchard infrastructure including trellises, nets, and irrigation systems.
• Carries out general labouring tasks as required to support orchard supervisors and orchard workers.

What We're Looking For:

• Physically fit and willing to do hands-on outdoor work
• Previous experience working in a similar role would be an advantage
• Able to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Experience operating farm machinery (advantageous but not essential)
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Flexibility to work in the weekends
• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
• Pre-employment drug test and criminal record check required.
• Valid Class 1 license required to commute to work sites

What We Offer:

• Competitive hourly wage between $25 to $28 per hour

• Full-time, 30-40 hours work per week.
