-24-month fixed term role.
You will be able to participate in general orthopaedic and trauma surgery along with a complementary sub specialty.
You will partake in the general on-call roster and will contribute to management of trauma and other acute Orthopaedic presentations.
Due to the high demand, you will be involved in the provision of primary knee and hip joint replacement services to the Manawatū community.
If desired, you could also participate in delivering services in the private sector.
We are interested in hearing from surgeons with an interest or subspecialty in:Upper LimbArthroplastyYou would be one of seven Orthopaedic Specialists.

Palmerston North Hospital is a secondary hospital and offers most medical and surgical specialties with the exception of Cardiothoracic, Plastic and Neurosurgery.

The hospital serves a local population of 180,000 but is the base for a regional head and neck oncology service which has responsibility for a population of 550,000 and draws patients from Whanganui, Taranaki, and Hawke's Bay.
