About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Claims Prevention & Quality Manager to lead and elevate freight quality and claims prevention across our Transport and Warehousing operations.

In this critical role, you'll be responsible for minimising freight damage and loss while protecting the organisation's financial and reputational integrity. You'll drive a proactive quality culture, lead investigations, manage customer claims, and implement systems and processes that deliver operational excellence.

This is a highly visible position that partners closely with leadership teams across the business and requires regular travel to sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead claims prevention strategies to reduce freight damage, loss, and operational risk
  • Investigate freight incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative actions
  • Manage end-to-end customer claims, ensuring fair, timely, and commercially sound outcomes
  • Develop and embed quality assurance programs across transport and warehousing
  • Analyse trends, monitor KPIs, and provide actionable insights to improve performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance freight handling standards
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure consistent quality and compliance
  • Build capability through training, coaching, and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage relationships with customers, insurers, and key partners

What We Offer:

  • Full-Time position, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 5:00pm in Auckland!

What you Bring:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in transport, freight, logistics, or warehousing operations
  • Strong background in claims management, quality assurance, or process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead investigations and implement preventative controls
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and driving accountability across teams
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience with logistics systems, claims platforms, and reporting tools
  • A relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or similar (preferred)
