You will be based at Rotorua hospital and support both inpatient and outpatient care. There will be some opportunity to visit Taupō base hospital. While the role is pivoted towards adult care, there is also opportunity to provide dysphagia care to paediatric patients dependent on your skills and experience.
This position could be suitable for either a new graduate who would like the opportunity to grow and develop their generalist skills in multiple areas in a supportive environment or equally an experienced clinician who wants to take their clinical practice to the next level.
The service has access to FEES, VFSS and stroboscopy clinics.This opportunity is a permanent part time role, up to 22 hours per week, with days and hours of work negotiable.About the Team/Service/ LocationYou will be supported by the Chief of Allied Health, Science & Technical Manager Clinical Support Services, and the professional leader/team leader of Speech Language Therapy.

You will join eight other SLTs working across Health NZ Lakes, with four of these SLTs based within the Rotorua Hospital team. As an SLT working across the organisation, you will be highly valued by our supportive multi-disciplinary teams and get the invaluable experience of working within the fantastic community that a more rural hospital setting provides.Health New Zealand |Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand.
