Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Dog Kennel Supervisor / Team Leader to join our dedicated team. Hours of work are negotiable but preferably 4 days including at least 1 weekend day (approx 36 hours per week). As a Kennel supervisor you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations ensuring the highest level of care for our canine guests.Your positive personality, exceptional customer service skills, and passion for animals will make you a valuable asset to our team.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead a small team of kennel attendants.
- Ensure the well-being, safety, and comfort of all dogs in our care.
- Coordinate check-ins and check-outs, providing excellent customer service to dog owners.
- Manage feeding schedules, administer medications if required, and maintain a clean environment.
- Monitor dog interactions to ensure a harmonious play environment.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by team members or customers.
- Maintain accurate records of each dog's activities, behaviours, and special requirements.
- Collaborate with the management team to continuously improve kennel operations and customer satisfaction.
- Previous experience working with dogs e.g. dog kennel, animal shelter, or related environment is desirable.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a small team.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Genuine love and understanding of dogs, their behaviours, and needs.
- Patience and confidence in handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to handle and resolve conflicts or issues in a calm and professional manner.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
