OCN Gourmet Ltd is looking for a Banquets & Events Promotion Specialist to join our business in Auckland. The position on offer is for a Permanent Full Time Position. Must have 2 years relevant work experience. Relevant qualification and Certificate would be desirable.

Overseas relevant work experience preferred.

The successful applicant should have the following skills and work experience as listed below:

  • Plan, develop and implement promotional campaigns specifically tailored to café banquets, group bookings, and themed events (e.g., weddings, corporate functions, holiday parties).
  • Advise management on strategic advertising methods to effectively target niche markets, including local businesses, event planners, and community groups.
  • Coordinate the production of marketing materials such as digital banners, brochures, event flyers, and social media content, working with copywriters, designers, and media specialists to ensure branding consistency.
  • Conduct market research and analyse customer data to identify event trends, seasonal demand patterns, and opportunities for tailored promotions.
  • Forecast and interpret consumer behaviour to refine marketing messages and event offerings.
  • Research the potential demand for new event types (e.g., high tea, tasting events, business breakfasts) and develop tailored marketing plans to launch and promote them.
  • Support the business’s revenue growth by aligning marketing strategies with café operational objectives, occupancy targets, and budget goals.
  • Work with external event platforms and booking partners to increase exposure and secure event reservations.
  • Advise on event-related pricing strategies, value-added packages, and promotional offers to maximise bookings and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee feedback collection and post-event analysis to improve customer experience and refine future campaigns.
Have good health, character and a good work ethic, must be a team player. Be able to work unsupervised, be physically fit and reliable. Remuneration will be in the range of $32 to 35 per hour as a start rate and is indicative of the applicant’s background, skills and past work experience, could later earn up to $40 per hour.
The employee is offered a normal work week of 40 hours with overtime available as and when required. Presently staff work an average of 40 to 45 per week with normal work hours is 9.00 am to 5.00 pm 5 days. Must able to work over time in weekend and night shift .

Employees are guaranteed payment for at least 30 hours per week.
