We provide Signals Intelligence and Cyber Security and resilience to organisations of national significance to successfully navigate in an unpredictable world. Our CNO Test Analysts are newly created roles, responsible for testing and supporting capabilities for Government Communications Security Bureau’s (GCSB) Computer Network Operations (CNO), an important enabler to enhance GCSB's Intelligence mission. The CNO Test Analysts are part of a wider well established specialist Research & Development team, developing and supporting capabilities for GCSB CNO.CNO Test Analysts are hands on, testing capabilities, coordinating with Research & Development, supporting the maintenance of testing and automation systems alongside DevOps Engineers, and working with operational teams. The work is varied, and well suited for someone with a strong interest in technology, testing, cyber security and potentially a growing interest in software development or DevOps.To be successful in this role, you will have strengths in a number of the following areas:
  • Working knowledge and relevant experience in software and/or hardware testing, preferably with mobile devices, apps or operating systems Proven experience executing systematic and reproduceable testing procedures Understanding of the design and implementation of automation and testing frameworks Scripting level software development, python skills desirable Cyber security concepts and vulnerabilities, exploit techniques and methods for their remediation desirable A degree of experience with DevOps and Software Development processes Strong ability to collaborate across teams, with excellent written and oral skills Eagerness to learn and grow in an exciting and challenging technical environmentThis is a varied and exciting role, offering unique challenges and opportunities that are less common in typical testing roles.
