About the Opportunity – Project Manager
Are you an organised and proactive project professional ready to lead civil construction projects from pre-construction through to completion? We are seeking a Project Manager or Project Engineer to join our established civil construction team in Dunedin.This permanent role offers the chance to manage varied infrastructure works, deliver on-time and on-budget outcomes, and contribute to projects that make a meaningful difference to local communities.
We’re open to the right person, the right fit – whether you’re:- An Experienced Project Manager
- Or an experienced Project Engineer
- Plan, coordinate and deliver civil construction projects from mobilisation to practical completion, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and company standards.
- Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and forecasts; identify and report on variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Engage and manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to achieve safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.
- Champion health, safety and environmental standards on site; lead toolbox talks, safety observations and incident investigations as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities and stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Mentor and develop project engineers and site-based teams, supporting continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Proven experience delivering civil construction projects, preferably within roading, utilities, structures or earthworks sectors.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Competence in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and site surveys.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or formal project management training is advantageous.
