We’re looking for a qualified Auto Electrician or a Mechanic with Auto Electrical skills who is keen to expand their abilities and take on diverse challenges. The ideal candidate will be independent, reliable, and have a strong problem-solving mindset.You’ll work both in the workshop and out in the field, often on mobile repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs on heavy and light transport vehicles, providing support to local mechanical and panel repair workshops.
- Produce wiring harnesses for the marine sector.
- Repair and service Air Conditioning systems.
- Conduct general electrical repairs for cars, vans, trucks, campervans, trailers, boats, motorbikes and more.
- Sales of Auto Electrical parts, including batteries.
- Install Haltech and Link ECUs.
- Diagnose and calibrate ADAS systems.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience with both heavy and light transport, earthmoving equipment, and general automotive repairs.
- Experience in mobile repair services is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
- Full NZ driver’s license and the ability to road test vehicles.
