Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for all duties associated with sales and marketing of the Company’s products, including but not limited to:

  • Plan, implement and monitor the Company’s operation in the designated location and area
  • Promoting and selling the Company’s products and services provided to food service businesses
  • Executing strategies to create demand and achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Assisting the manager in organising, planning and implementing the strategy
  • Visiting key and potential customers to establish selling opportunities
  • Conduct market research and new business development
  • Liaise with suppliers (primarily, but not limited to Japanese-based companies), to establish and launch new business ventures.
  • A strong understanding of Japanese language will be very helpful as the company mostly details with Japanese products, but is not a prerequisite for the position.

Full-time permanent employee

Compensation

$62,000 - $64,480 annum

Plus, annual bonus depending on annual personal as well as organisational business performances

Minimum guaranteed hours of work

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Sales Representative or similar role in sales
  • NZ full driver’s licence or equivalent overseas licence as the role requires visiting suppliers.
  • To have well-developed communication and listening skills
  • Be computer literate (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Japanese language capabilities (Preferable, but not essential) as most of the products are sourced from Japan
  • Extensive experience using ERP (e.g., NetSuite) in sales and logistics operations is a big advantage.
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of the food and beverage supply chain logistics of both cross-border as well as domestic trading is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Have a positive attitude and confidence and are motivated to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Punctual, reliable attendance and can focus consistently
  • Eligible to work in NZ
