Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care including meals, transport, cleaning, and general support
- Support their educational, mentoring and life skills programmes
- Maintain clean and safe environments in our homes and vehicles
- Uphold manaakitanga – treating tamariki, whanau and colleagues with respect
- Apply non-restrictive safety interventions where needed
- Maintain accurate and timely records using our reporting tools
- Committed to child wellbeing above all else
- Moderate competency in tikanga Maori
- Full NZ driver’s license and ability to travel for work
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- No gang affiliations or history of abusive/violent behaviour
- Must have a Clean Police Record
- Available to work one or both weekend days from 7am to 5.40pm
- Must be 21 years or older
- Relevant qualification or working towards one (social work, youth work etc.)
- Special talent or skill to contribute to our kaupapa – from kapa haka to coding, we value it all!
