We currently have a part-time permanent vacancy at Admatha Dementia Care working fewer than 30 hours per week. The ability to work a range of shifts across a 24/7 roster is preferred.
You will:
- Assist in the delivery of culturally safe, effective, holistic personal care needs such as showering, dressing, eating, mobility and communication
- contribute to planning the care of individuals and following therapy plans to assist those with dementia
- observe and report on residents progress and promptly report any change in residents’ condition or concerns about care
- ensure residents’ records are accurate, appropriate and up to date
- provide support to registered nurses within their scope of practice
Requirements for consideration:
- A genuine commitment to make a positive difference to the lives of elderly people by caring for them with love and empathy
- Ability to work any shift across a 24/7 roster
- A passion for working in the field of aged care
- Previous caregiving experience preferred
- Experience in dementia care would be an additional advantage
We are not able to offer visa support for this position, which is part time.
