School Caretaker

Key Responsibilities:
- General maintenance of school buildings, furniture, and equipment
- Setting up and moving equipment/furniture as required
- Liaising with the Facilities & Operations Manager, tradespeople, and assisting with projects alongside the Grounds team
- Conducting health and safety checks across school grounds and property
- Occasional out-of-hours call-outs (paid extra)
- Physically fit and active, with a positive, can-do attitude
- Enjoy working outdoors and independently
- Able to be a positive role model for our tauira (students)
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Able to pass police vetting (essential)
- Permanent, full-time: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Start date: Late January or by negotiation
- Remuneration: As per the School Caretakers’, Cleaners’ and Canteen Staff Collective Agreement, based on experience and qualifications
- Benefits: KiwiSaver contributions, 4 weeks annual leave + 12 public holidays, clothing allowance
