What we doOperational Policy is a unique team who work with multiple stakeholders within MSD and externally:to support the policy design and improvement of new and existing policies, to ensure the best outcome for our kaimahi and clientsto support the implementation and delivery of policies to ensure they align with policy and legislationto provide advice on current policy and legislationThe team are also responsible for writing and maintaining MSD's operational policy guidelines (Map).
About the roleAs a senior advisor, you will:provide advice on current policy and legislation, including individual client caseswork collaboratively to lead and support the design and development of new and existing policy and legislationsupport our Service Delivery colleagues to implement and deliver products and services in line with policy and legislationtranslate operational policy design into written guidelines (Map) for our kaimahicontribute towards the maintenance of Map to make sure it is consistent and coherent, while identifying areas for improvementanalyse policy initiatives from other agencies to understand how they impact or interact with MSD policies, and/or affect MSD clientsprovide support and mentorship to advisors; helping them to deliver high quality work and build their capability Skills and experienceWe're keen to hear from motivated Senior Advisors with a proven track record in Operational Policy.
