Liquor Oasisis a locally owned liquor store in Auckland offering a wide range of wines, beers, spirits, and other beverages from local and international suppliers. We take pride in our excellent customer service and variety of products.

We are seeking amotivated Duty Managerfor the store for a Permanent, Full-time (minimum 30 hours) position to manage daily operations, supervise staff, maintain store presentation, ensure compliance with licensing, health regulations and customer satisfaction.

Duty Manager Job Details:

  • Location: Auckland, New Zealand
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week or more
  • Pay Rate: NZD $32.00 – $35.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily retail operations, including sales, inventory management, and the delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Overseeing daily store operations and managing the team.
  • Monitor financial transactions, POS reconciliations, and sick Management.
  • Merchandising and maintaining store cleanliness.
  • Ensuring compliance with ID verification, health & safety, and licensing laws.
  • Liaising with suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and handling customer queries.
  • Supporting business goals and operational efficiency to achieve targets.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Strong managerial skills gained through either a business/managerial qualification - Diploma or Bachelors OR previous experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • LCQ Certificate and Manager’s Certificate are mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Physically fit and capable of moderate lifting
  • Honest, reliable, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Willingness to work on a roster, including evenings and weekends
  • Applicants must have no criminal convictions and must be able to pass police vetting checks

Additional Information:

  • The store opens 7 days a week including evenings.
  • Applicants must be willing to work on a weekly roster including evenings and weekeends.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have an LCQ and current Managers Certificate.
