We have an exciting opportunity for a keen and capable dual trade electrician / fire protection technician willing to complete electrical and fire protection installation and maintenance works for a key client, based at a single location with occasional travel to various sites across NZ.
Working at a single site, full time for a key trusted client with occasional travel to various sites across NZ, this newly established role will bring fire technician capabilities in-house for the first time at Clarksons Electrical, marking an important step in expanding our electrical service offering.

The Electrician / Fire Protection Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and fire alarm systems in accordance with relevant New Zealand standards and legislation.
Training and upskilling is something that Clarksons as a company believe strongly in.

Skills & Experience- NZ registered electrician with a current practicing license
- Hands on electrical maintenance
- NZQA Level 4 in Fixed Fire Protection Systems (or working towards)
- Practical knowledge of common fire alarm systems used in New Zealand
- Familiarity with NZS 4512 and relevant Building Act requirements
- Sound fault-finding and problem-solving abilities across both electrical and fire alarm systems
- Strong communication skills and customer focus
- Ability to work at heights and in various environments
- Full, clean New Zealand Driver’s License
- Ability to participate in an On-Call roster
