This role provides leadership with a Pacific Public Health focus across all Regional and National Leadership Teams and working groups to advance the Pacific Public Health work programme within those directorates and support strong partnerships across all Directorates.The Clinical Lead, Pacific Public Health is a senior Pacific clinical role, providing expert clinical advice, strategic leadership, influence and direction for the Pacific Public Health Directorate and across the National Public Health Service (NPHS) in clinical matters pertaining to Pacific public health.

This includes the provision of clinical expert and strategic advice to support and lead delivery of priorities in immunisations, cancer screening, disease prevention, harmful commodities and mental health, nationally and in the regions.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand

You are an experienced senior clinical leader with proven experience of building capability and lifting performance of a team/unit.
You will be able to develop and implement effective group/team strategies and work plans that deliver on organisational objectives.

Extensive clinical experience and expertise in either Pacific health or public health, with appropriate tertiary level professional qualification.Significant experience in leading initiatives to improve public health outcomesExperience in Pacific community empowermentRegistered health professional, with at least ten years' experiencePostgraduate qualification in public health Current registration in relevant health professional disciplineProven experience in Public Health clinical leadership and people leadership, including leading leaders and other senior staff through innovation and lifting performance of a team/unit.

Experience in leading and delivering planned work, change, service and quality improvement initiatives Experience in applying critical thinking, using sound judgment to develop options and knowledge of the machinery of government and policy development Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
