Duty Manager - Jizo Japanese Restaurant

Jizo is Dunedin’s busiest and most popular Japanese Restaurant, serving well over 250 covers on an average evening.

We are looking for a hard-working, honest, and reliable experienced Duty Manager or Restaurant Manager with a passion for the industry, somebody who thrives off working in a team environment, is energetic, organised, has a great temperament and a good sense of humour.

All applicants must be flexible, able to work split shifts and to commit to work over summer. We are closed for two weeks over Christmas and New Years.

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Duty Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work split shifts Monday through Saturday.
• Liquor Controlling License (LCQ) and a current Managers Certification.
