The Communications team sits within the Enterprise Services branch, which supports the Department at an enterprise level across areas such as communications, legal, finance, people and capability, strategy, and governance. The team works closely with leaders and staff across DIA to deliver clear, effective, and trusted communications.
**Te tunga | The role**
We are seeking **three Communications Advisors** to join our Communications team. These roles support the delivery of high-quality communications advice and content across a range of business priorities and channels.
You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once and building strong relationships across the organisation. One of the roles will also include supporting the management of media enquiries.
These roles are well suited to someone looking to take an early step in their communications career, as well as someone with existing experience who is ready for a broader challenge and greater exposure.
**Ko nga mea ka tukuna e koe | What you'll provide**- Development and delivery of communications plans, programmes, and activities aligned to business priorities
- Advice to internal stakeholders on effective communication approaches and channels
- Creation of high-quality communications content for internal and external audiences
- Support for integrated communications activity across portfolios and functional areas
- Relationship management with business leaders and staff
- For one role, support with managing media enquiries and opportunities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Sound judgement and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Relationship-building skills and a collaborative working style
- An understanding of communications principles, or relevant experience applying them
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience
- Experience working in a government or complex organisational environment is an advantage but not essential.
