New World Te Rapa has an opportunity for you as a Seafood Manager!

Are you passionate about seafood and managing a team? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a talented and experienced Seafood Manager to lead our seafood department.

As the Seafood Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department, including ordering, inventory management, pricing, and sales. You will also be responsible for managing a team of seafood assistants and ensuring exceptional customer service is provided.

To excel in this role, you should have a deep understanding of seafood products and a passion for quality and sustainability. You should also have experience managing a team and driving sales in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the ordering, receiving, and inventory management of seafood products
  • Set prices and manage margins to ensure profitability
  • Train and manage a team of seafood assistants to provide exceptional customer service
and product knowledge
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales and meet department goals
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Have Safe food pro experience or similar

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Supermarket environment would be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of seafood products and sustainability practices
  • Proven ability to manage a team and drive sales
  • A good understanding of SAP/Fiori
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • HACCP certification preferred
