Water division Leading Hand

About the Role:**

We're seeking a skilled and organised Leading Hand to oversee our client's water crew. This is a leadership role with a strong focus on planning and coordination. While some hands-on work is involved, the majority of the role will be office-based, managing crew schedules, permits, and job planning using Windows-based systems.

• Lead and supervise drainage crews across multiple sites
• Plan daily operations, allocate resources, and manage rosters
• Prepare and manage work permits and compliance documentation
• Ensure productivity, safety, and quality targets are met
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors
• Use Windows-based systems to input data, manage schedules, and track progress

• Minimum **3 years' experience** in drainage or water reticulation
• Proven leadership experience in a field or supervisory role
• Basic computer literacy, especially with **Windows-based systems**
• National Certificate in Water Reticulation Level 4 (Supervisor)
• Class 1 & 2 Driver's License + RTW (Rollers, Tracks & Wheels)
• Traffic management and hazard awareness training
• Critical hazard permit receiver certification
