Mt Cook Alpine Salmon operates two hatcheries, six farms Retail Shop and two processing plants. At times it can be challenging weather conditions that we live/work in, but it’s here that Nature provides ideal growing conditions for Freshwater King Salmon.
Skills Required- Full NZ drivers licence
- Forklift licence (Preferred)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Preferred)
- Experience in operating machinery and power tools
- Maintain highest standards in fish husbandry
- Assist the Hatchery Manager in the effective running of the hatchery
- Assist the Hatchery Manager where requested to participate in MCAS research, breeding and development programs
- Assist the Hatchery Manager in ensuring that the hatchery meets required aquaculture, fish welfare, bio-security and environmental standards, customer expectations of volume, quality, and supply deadlines
- Participation in rostered (out of hours) call outs for alarm cover
- Maintain accurate records
