Fast Food Cook

We are a busy cafe based in the city centre of Palmerston North. We serve coffee, baking items and A La Carte cuisine. We are now hiring 2 full time Fast Food Cooks.

Work location:Whanganui-Manawatu

Length of employment:Full time and permanent.

Hours:40 hours per week(Minimum 30 hours guaranteed)

Payrate:$25.50 to $30.00 per hour

Number of positions vacant: 5

• Taking and serving food and beverage orders, and receiving payment from customers
• Preparing and cooking food such as entrees, sides and fast food dishes on the menu
• Washing, cutting, measuring and mixing foods for cooking
• Operating cooking equipment such as grills, microwaves and deep-fat fryers
• Cleaning food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils
• Ordering and taking delivery of fast food ingredients
• May arrange delivery of prepared food and beverages

• No specific qualification or certificate is required as we will provide on site training
• Relevant work experience is preferred but not a compulsory
• Be available to work on weekends and public holidays as per the roster
• Flexibility to work within a 7-Days a week operation including split shifts
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and team spirit
• Able to work till late evenings
