Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in South Auckland.
Key duties and responsibilities- Diagnosing, servicing and repair heavy diesel vehicles
- Fixing mechanical/electrical faults
- Servicing engines and replacing parts
- Using diagnostic tools and manuals
- Responding to breakdowns
- Checking vehicles for roadworthiness
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure vehicles perform at their best.
- Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs.
- Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate or NZQA Certification or 3 year’s relevant experience
- Forklift certified
- NZ Class 1,2,4, W,T,R would be an advantage
- Have own tools (bigger workshop-based tools provided)
- Knowledge of all aspects of diesel machinery (including heavy machinery), Hydraulics, Diagnostics
- Basic engineering maintaining and servicing our fleet of cars, utes, trucks and heavy machinery
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
- Promoting health and safety in all aspects of the job
- Maintaining an up-to-date parts inventory
- Maintaining vehicle/machinery service records
- Ability to work from Monday to Saturday with some nightshifts.
- Guaranteed 30 hours minimum per week, full-time permanent role
