You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, achieving their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do, such as attending sporting events, going on walks, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping.

Who are we looking for? - Ko wai ta tatou e rapu ana?
  • People who are passionate about helping others and are kind and understanding
  • Good communication skills
  • Weekend availability is essential
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, including experience working with youth
  • A full New Zealand driver's licence and your own vehicle
  • A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
  • Someone with initiative who can encourage people to work towards their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and thinks creatively
  • Respect for others' beliefs and ways of living, even when they differ from your own

Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role, as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
