About the roleOlder Adults Rehabilitation & Allied (ORA)services have a permanent, full time opportunity for a rehabilitation physician.This role will work collegially within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in providingrehabilitation services based at Kenepuru Hospital along with providing rehabilitation& spasticity management clinics across the Capital, Coast & Hutt ValleyDistrict.
The position works alongside geriatricians with a strong interest in strokeand neurological conditions, registrars and house officers, allied healthclinicians and senior nursing. About the Team/Service/ LocationKenepuru Hospital rehabilitationward is a 20 bed unit providing inpatient rehabilitation services for theCapital and Coast District for people over 16 years of age.Patient'srehabilitation needs include stroke, complex neurological conditions andamputees. There is a strong focus on goal setting and outcome measurement inthe service and pathways to community rehabilitation. Youwill be part of a wider Geriatric and Rehabilitation service providingspecialist care across the Wellington region in community, outpatient andinpatient settings.

We operate three hospitals ' Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown, Hutt Valley Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua ' as well as the Kāpiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.About youVocationally registered in rehabilitation medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) Fellowship of Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM)or equivalent qualification or able to register for vocational registration/fellowshipwith the MCNZWork in collaboration with multidisciplinary teamAble to provide consistently high standards of medical careRelevant experience and trainingWorking for Health New Zealand | Te Whatu OraHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
