Spray Painter

Hourly rate or salary band: $27 to $30 per hour

All in One Builders Company Ltd has a proven reputation across Auckland for delivering one stop shop quality building work on time and within budget. As a Master Builder and Licensed Building Practitioner, all building work is delivered to a high standard and backed by solid guarantees.

Due to ongoing work demands, we are now seeking three Spray Painters to join our team.

• Work with customers on colour selection and finishes
• Calculate materials required for a job
• Fill holes, cracks and joins, and clean surfaces of dust and dirt
• Mix and match paint colours
• Sand, clean, and mask surfaces to be painted.
• Remove dirt, rust, and old paint.
• Apply rust-proof undercoats and primers.
• Apply paint using spray guns, ensuring even coverage and no drips.
• Apply coatings through conventional, airless, and plural spray systems.
• Operate spray guns, paint shakers, pressure pots, and other equipment safely.
• Maintain and clean spray equipment.
• Identify and touch up any defective areas.
• Ensure a high-quality finish and adherence to safety standards.
• Keep track of paint stock inventory.
• Follow WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) policies and procedures.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Apply primer, paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.

Job pre-requisites:

1. At least three years of relevant work experience OR relevant painting qualification.
2. Be methodical and logical, with focal attention to detail
3. Have a solutions based approach with can-do attitude
4. Be a NZ Resident or have a valid NZ Work Visa
5. Knowledge of paints and wall coverings
6. Skill in spray painting and decorating techniques
7. Knowledge of health and safety precautions.
