About the role:

• Stellar Recruitment currently have multiple Paving Machine Operator positions available in the Auckland region.
• Full time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
• Your ordinary hours of work will be 40 hours per week normally worked between 6:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to work the occasional Saturday.
• $27 - 30 per hour

What you need to be successful in this role:

• You must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience. You must be able to work within the timeframe of the project and be a reliable member of the team.
• Knowing, understanding, communicating, and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety regulations

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Operating, cleaning, and maintenance of paving machines and associated equipment
• Undertaking pre-start inspections
• Understanding and planning slope requirements, and work specifications
• Use of manual and automatic settings
• Operate machinery appropriately at the work area, ensure proper application of the asphalt, controlling the machinery and smoothing evenly to required specifications

Daily commuting between regions and projects will not be expected but should projects within a particular region cease, relocation to an alternative region may be required, in which case notice will be given, and relocation policies will apply.
